Is anyone else not at all shocked at how quickly the BNP and EDL were trying to basically cash in on it?

It highlighted again how big a problem Islamophobia is in Britain. My Facebook feed was littered with 'send the buggers back' in the days afterwards, and there was loads of twisting on about how no muslims had condemned it, after that fantastic condemnation by the head of the muslim council.

The best thing that came of all the aftermath was when the EDL protest in York was ruined...by the mosque they were protesting outside offering everyone tea and biscuits...it don't get more British than that lol

What do you think the murder was carried out for? This exact reason. Innocent muslims are being attacked which will inevitabley enable the small amount on the fringes of "extremism" to become deeper embroiled in fighting the good fight and in turn will turn those on the fringes of far right "extremism" to become deeper embroiled in fighting the good fight. Its the oldest trick in the book but herd mentality been what it is few people will spot it as they get swept up in the hysteria
